NP Rank:
Are Your Hubpage Adsense Earnings Down?
Well join the club, mine are also and its terrible and I am wondering if it is sitewide that maybe
Google has decided to down grade Hubpages adsense, probably not.Freelance writing job is great. At any rate like many of you I have
not been with hubpages that long but I am familiar with the adsense program. The problem
that we are dealing with is called smart pricing. Its an equation google uses to analyze all
publishers using their adsense tools, their are many defenitions for what smart pricing is but no
one really knows the exact definition/In google's own words they define smart pricing of
adsense as a formula to make sure their advertisers(not us) get the maximum return on their
advertising dollars. One sure way for your Hubpages to be smart priced is to get to many clicks
from social sites like digg ,myspace, and even our very own hubpages.google views these as
poor converting clicks and lowers the click payout from social site traffic. So if you digg like we
all do try and keep it to a minimum ,digging only on Mondays or twice a week at most. The
other factor which Im sure is probably the most popular is age and page rank of your hubs.If
you do not have now get a copy of Firefox browser and add the page rank tool, this will allow
you to see the page rank of webpages and most importantly other hubbers.Since I am new
here my hubpages have very little authority and page rank.Google from what I have heard just
updated their ranking system about 9 days ago.About the same time that alot of our adsense
revenue tanked. My revenue dropped some 50-75% so I am definately feeling it.What cn we do
,keep writing good content and wait for the next update which could be at the end of the
month.Try to get good links coming in and if you know how hook up google analytics to your
hubpages so you know what key words are driving traffic and how long visitors are staying on
the page.Eventually google adsense will remove the smart pricing pretty quick if you have
good pages that capture visitors attention. So I will settle for my 10-15 cents per click now and
just do the waiting game ,there is not much else you can do.If you can install channels on your
google adsense account so you know what each page gets for a click.Another way is if you are
getting only pennies for a Rolex watch Hubpage then you have definately been

It requires knowledge about the Hubpag Adsense to understand your article. I tried to follow you, because I wanted to learn more about the freelancing.

Oh yes .it is not hard ,I make most of my money off of new subjects, like new cell phones ,you can get it out there and not have to compete against high page rank websites sometimes because the subject is brand new.Like Micheal Jackson Memorabilia for instance.hubpages.com/hub/Michael-Jackson-Memorabilia I wrote it the day he passed and it is on second page of google. With a little work it could be a top money maker.

I was always worried that if I used my adsense code for hubpages that I would also get smart priced.
