IndyMac Bank 33rd to Fail Since October 2000

On the heels of yesterday’s post about what many in news media and financial sectors are describing as the second-largest bank failure in U.S. history, I wondered how many other banks had failed in recent years. A page at the FDIC web site offered a list of 33 banks which have failed since October 1, 2000.  That list is highlighted here.
