In iPad News, Apple's New Product Has Been Released to Long iPad Lines

Many people got up really early on their Easter Saturday to stand in line at their local Apple store in an effort to get their hands on the new hot product, the iPad.

Some locations did not know how many iPads they would have available to sell, with some Best Buy stores only getting about 12 units each.

Some of the lines at the flagship Apple stores were huge, with hundreds of people waiting in line in anticipation for the new product. We have uploaded some media below of the long lines at some of the stores. Other stores were not as busy with some people reporting that they did not have to wait that long in any line.

Experts are predicting that that in the first year, the iPad could sell anywhere between 3 to 7 million units. It is unclear still if the iPad will have the same hype as the iPhone but judging by the lines on the first day, it seems like it is well on its way to rival the iPhone.

Some people seem wary of the hype surrounding the iPad and think it may be more hype than its worth, not that it means people will not by buying it anyway of course.

One of the biggest criticisms of the product is the fact that it cannot multitask, even though in the busy society we live in, multitasking is one of the biggest assets for any products. The fact that there is also no camera on the product has also been a criticism but it can store and display your photos that you take.

Did you buy an iPad today? What did you think?

This is a cool lens. I love using Squidoo to find iPad gadgets and apps. I was one of the lucky few to get my hands on an iPad last week and I must say, so far so good. It's an incredible piece of technology and I think it will change the way we read, watch movies, listen to music and more. I just want to find more apps and sites related to iPad, which seem to be hard to trace online. I found a great index of ipad websites on www.squidoo.com/ipad_tablet that lists the best apps, accessories and blogs. Any other ideas?
