iPhone 3G Rumoured to make way in India

Apple iPhone 3G-the phone which has been in a limelight is rumored to be launched in the Indian market late August or early September through Vodafone and Airtel. It is speculated that the Indian iPhone will have mostly the same software as its US counterpart but hang on it is likely that some features will be customized to match Indian tariffs and the 8GB will be the only model available for the launch. 

Though Indian operators are yet to start 3G services, they seem ready to launch as soon as the government prepares it policy. But anyways the surmounting rumors also say that the iphone is expected to be priced between Rs 11,500 and Rs 12,000. Without 3G availability and an official announcement, this could very well be a rumor indeed!
