iPhone 5 pre-orders exceed two million in 24 hours, some devices

The new iPhone 5 release date is days away. Already, pre-orders for the Apple smart phone have topped two million devices in just 24 hours. However, as demand exceeds supply, some devices will be delayed beyond the September 27 launch date in stores.

In a press release early Monday morning, Apple said its newest iPhone, up to this point, has proven to be the best device yet. Based on records, sales have surpassed volume set last year by the iPhone 4S.

Ironically, the talk about dwindling interest from the Samsung-Apple patent lawsuit and high-flying sales of the Galaxy SIII, has only fueled buying-power frenzy ahead of the release date.
