Apparently you won't have to. An Apple spokesperson told MacWorld:
"We're aware of an issue related to non repeating alarms set for January 1 or 2," Harrison said. "Customers can set recurring alarms for those dates and all alarms will work properly beginning January 3."
If you need an alarm before then, some have suggested that you can work around the iPhone alarm bug 2011. Since one-time alarms are the ones that fail, you can set a weekly alarm for the time you want to get up. For instance, if you need to set an alarm for Sunday, Jan. 2, you set up an "every Sunday" alarm.
