State owned BSNL launched interactive personalised television and video services, (IPTV) in Haryana on Wednesday. The service will be initially available in Gurgaon, Ambala and Faridabad in association with Smart Digivision Pvt Ltd. Speaking on the occassion BSNL chairman and managing director, Kuldeep Goyal said that the service would be expanded to cover more than more than one lakh subscribers by March.
BSNL and Smart Digivision Pvt Ltd announced the launch of IPTV services for the subscribers of BSNL.
Currently the tie-up is offering 140 channels and additionally will offer free access to the move libraries from Hollywood and Bollywood. Video, music, games and education on demand will also be made available.
In future the tie-up aims to offer services like option to pause live TV, personalized stock ticker, digital instant and scheduled recording.
"We have ambitious plans for broadband expansion. For the coming three years, we have plans to add three million broadband connections every year," said BSNL CMD Kuldeep Goyal.

Sir,
It is a good decision. But I have suggestions. First of all this willl be acceptable to all its a good news to me. If BSNL and Smart digivision combined with the bublic libraries of India for their Information Communication Technology projects it will be much helpful to peoples, because they could get the manuscripts of thei taste only through the digitization process through out the libraries. And many of the young engineersand Library science students arewell interested in "Information processing" sectors and will make much use to customers
