ITIL Training Course – Soaring up your career

ITIL Training was not given importance by me till recent times. But, I was exposed to the ITIL training course in my office. There was a notice in the office to attend an ITIL training course mandatory. The notice had top level management officials as well, as a part of the training. Only then, I realized that company is serious about the importance of ITIL training. Earlier, there were few top level managers who had an idea about the ITIL Certification and ITIL Training course. The organization decided to have ITIL training course for the entire staff. This ITIL Training has included all the departments of the organization, which means that it is not just a technological change; it is a cultural change which changes the practices and operations of the organization. 

I took this opportunity and started surfing about the ITIL Training courses online. On one website, I found that ITIL Certification has great importance in the organization. ITIL is an abbreviation of Information Technology Infrastructure Library, which means that ITIL Course will help you learn the policies and theories related to IT and processes to manage the IT network. Business around the world is looking for best practices in IT sector and ITIL Training course provides those set standard practices. I also learned that it is very critical to have a strong Information technology network in the company and outside the company, ITIL Training provides that understanding. Clients and vendors look up to the service delivery and inter management of the company.

ITIL Course addresses all the problems related to IT operations, IT service support provisions and helps in defining the vital role of IT in the overall growth of organization.  I was amazed to see the requirement of professionals with ITIL Certification across the sectors. Each employer is asking for ITIL certified professional.

During the preliminary meeting with ITIL certification professional I was able to relate the need of this ITIL training for our company. It was surprising that ITIL training across the world remains the same, the ITIL Certification Foundation course, its content and delivery methods are the same.

There are three levels in ITIL Training: Basic or Foundation, Intermediate and Expert level. It was mandatory to have Foundation ITIL Certification if you wish to acquire higher level ITIL training.

With my background of Information Technology, I can actually be an Intermediate ITIL Certification professional. To achieve that, I have to clear the Foundation level course, which seemed to be possible with my experience. ITIL Training of Intermediate level will bring me better insight into the IT service management and handling the network communication. Expert level ITIL training will help me reach senior management position in my own company or other companies outside.

With this interaction on ITIL Training course, I could visualize my career growth and the benefits that can be given to the organizational growth as well. Since the organization is interested in ITIL Training, my ITIL Certification will be appreciated by the management.

I would say, for anyone who is interested in taking up IT field as their career, go for ITIL training courses and see how you soar high in the job positions. I am now motivated to pass the ITIL Certification course at the earliest.
