Bezos Expeditions, founded by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, announced that the F-1 engines that rocketed Apollo 11 into space have been found. The Apollo 11 mission put mankind on the Moon on July 20, 1969.

The five 32,000,000-hp Apollo 11 engines were found 14,000 feet beneath the surface of the Atlantic Ocean. There's no telling what condition the engines are in. Bezos' efforts to raise the Apollo 11 engines are privately funded, but the engines are the property of NASA.

Maybe, if we all ask very nicely, NASA will allow the Apollo 11 engines to go on display in Seattle.

NASA is one of the few institutions I know that can inspire five-year-olds. It sure inspired me, and with this endeavor, maybe we can inspire a few more youth to invent and explore.
