Paper batteries gets better and better with every update.

Rocket Electric of Korea unveils its newest invention, the paper battery. As the name goes, it is made of paper which makes it very thin and flexible. Contrary to other batteries, the paper battery is not prone to leaks and explosions due to pressure. The boom on the issue of climate change has spawned companies to provide products that are more environment-friendly, thus the idea behind the nuance in batteries. The company claims that the paper battery is eco-friendly based on international standards since it is devoid of any toxic material.

Another method of making batteries this thin is using carbon-nanotubes between paper insulating layers.  But it is more of a super-capacitor than a battery.
