Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The National Aeronautics and Outer Space Institute (LAPAN) successfully launched a rocket embodying the last phase of a process to develop a rocket to put a satellite in orbit from Pameungpeuk, West Java, early last Monday, the institute said.
Dubbed RX-320 , the 0.5-ton rocket had a spin stabilization of 2 rps and carried devices for engineered tests to diagnose aerodynamic behavior, trajectory, environmetal conditions and other factors, the institute said in a press statement issued on Wednesday.
"All the data generated during the rocket`s flight were received properly by the earth station in Pameungpeuk, particularly telemetric, tracking and command (TT&C) data," it said.
RX-320 had a 52-second-ton capacity and was thus the final phase of a process to develop a rocket to put a satellite in orbit which LAPAN had begun this year, the statement said.
