A class action lawsuit his been filed against Sony for their unpreparedness in wake of the hacks that occurred on their networks earlier this year starting in April.

The lawsuit alleges that the Sony had terminated employees that would have helped prevent the hacking just before it occurred, and that they had shifted priorities away from protecting customer data toward protecting their own.

The legal recourse comes after deputy president Kazuo Hirai stated Sony will bring security practices "in line with industry standards or better," which would indicate that they had been below industry standards earlier.
