From Liberia to America: Richelieu Dennis, Founder of Sundial Creations

Just when it seemed that the Chris Gardner story was the most inspirational story I'd come across, here's an entrepreneur's story that may even be more inspiring.  I came across this interesting blog post while surfing the blogosphere today.  It is about an entrepreneur who, as a young man, fled his native homeland of Liberia during the height of the civil war and found a new home in Harlem, NY.  He arrived in Harlem, New York with almost literally just a dollar and a dream.
 
But Richelieu W. Dennis did not travel through so much hardship and turmoil just to be stopped by a new setback.  Instead, he drew upon something much deeper and in the process created a movement turned brand.  The movement being original upscale beauty products and apparel that catered to an African American audience; the brand being Sundial Creations.
