Linked In Hits 50 Million Members

The popular business networking Linked In site has hit a milestone today - 50 million registered members. What is interesting about Linked In is that it is experiencing growth while Facebook and Twitter are pretty flat right now.

In addition, it took Linked In about 16 months to reach 1 million registered users. Its last million registered users took a week to sign up

we’re growing that figure at roughly one new member per second.

The post on the LinkedIn Blog goes onto say that India is fastest growing country with 3 million registered users and the highest rate of adoption outisde of the USA is Netherlands at 30%
