Macworld 2012 is running from January 26-28 at Moscone Center in San Francisco. The trade show has changed its name to "Macworld | iWorld" to reflect the weight given to Apple's iPhone and iPad products. You can see a live stream from Macworld below.

January 26 is product preview day, with third-party manufacturers and developers showing off their additions to the Mac/iPhone/iPad ecosystem.

Apple itself doesn't attend Macworld | iWorld, so makers of everything from professional-grade software to apps to those innumerable iPhone cases have to drum up whatever media attention they can.

So far, we kind of like the sound of the intoxicase (iPhone case with built-in bottle opener), and LiquidSpace, a hot-desking app for itinerant workers who just need a temporary workspace when arriving in a new city.
