Meet Lt. John Pike, the UC Davis Pepper Spray Cop
The now-infamous Pepper-Spray Cop from Occupy UC Davis has a name: Lt. John Pike. John Pike is the star of his own meme due to his casual abuse of seated and passive students, but the internet wasn't quite done with him.

This is a useful reminder to law enforcement in the internet age: there are repercussions for abuse of the public trust. UC Davis identified the two officers who pepper-sprayed the demonstrating students, but did not release their names. This did not help Pike.
UC Davis Police Chief Annette Spicuzza has been placed on administrative leave, and calls for UCD Chancellor Linda Katehi to step down continue. University of California president Mark Yudoff said he was appalled by the violence used against the UC Davis students.
