Atlanta's hometown superstar Ludacris (Chris Bridges when he's at home) is hosting a car giveaway event through his Ludacris Foundation, in which he'll hand the keys to a used car to the first 20 people who can convince him that they genuinely need a new set of wheels, in 300 words or less.

This is a wonderful event. And in these stressed economic times that are effecting just about everyone, stories of generosity are particularly heartfelt.
I saw a similar story a few months ago about a theatre owner in a small town who was opening his movie theatre for free on Wednesdays, so people who have families could bring everyone to the movies. People were so greatful and appreciative, and said they would not forget the owner's generosity.

I have a my first new little Grandson. I would like to be able to go see him. We would go to the zoo and the park. I'm on disablity...no money for a car. I get rides with a lady to my church and choir rehursal. I catch the bus sometimes too. I walk too. I dream of having a car of my own. To be able to just GO to the grocery store and take my time would be so great. It would give me freedom to do many many things I dream of...like go riding through different parts of town and to look at houses to see if I could qualify for a house, instead of renting. I would go get me a new life...maybe to back to school...or get a job I could handle knowing I could take myself there would set me free.

I have been trying to get my essay in every since I heard about on Praise 102.5 on Monday, I'm disable been on Dialysis for 17yrs and I truly need a car because the car I had is a 97 bonneville with over 246,thousand miles and sometimes it hard trying to ask people to give you a ride and the amount I get for disability isn't enough to get a car and my life truly depends on me having a car I, would love to be back in Church regular like I use to be but it's hard getting around on the bus to go to the grocery store, and even go and visit my grandmother and mom, and I would like to go to school to I, don't no who will see this comment but if Ludacris, gets to read I would like for him to know that he is and have been doing a great job for the needy and also Atlanta.

Although the car give away is over.,,,congrats to all the winners. I would like some assistance of some information of other foundations which could possibly help me. I am 48, recently dx. with MS. Although I relocated to Georgia with the hopes of getting married to my boyfriend of 10 years. I am now on diasability and running a household on my disability check. It is now, only myself and my two daughters, my boyfriend relocated due to my youngest finally coming out and saying he was touching on her for years. My oldest daughter has a ten years old car, running on it's last leg.praise God still running. And my car which is a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am blew it's gaskets about a month ago and needs a new motor. I am searching for a foundation which could possibly donate $1500.00 so that I could purchase a rebuilt engine and get it put in. My younger daughter and myself used this car for our transportation and now must alterate with my other daughter when her car is available, which is very hard because she is job hunting daily, esp. to help out with the monthly expenses of the household. Due to my MS and taking weekly injections I am doing all that I can. If your foundation can help or direct me to any other foundation it would be greatly appreciated. Praise God for your foundation and God Bless the winners of your cars On Labor Day, you truly enlighted someone's/families life.
