Preparations have been made to file a lawsuit in New York's Superior Court alleging defamation and cyber stalking against a web site called Meetretailworkers.com. This web site is operated by someone using the alias of "Ratchet" and the plaintiffs allege that as the owner of the web site. "Ratchet" has encouraged his web site members to post defaming comments about various individuals and competing web sites. In a separate lawsuit, another plaintiff is alleging this web site is being utilized to harass and cyberstalk himself and his family. One man is claiming that the web site owner is allowing a group of people to post his personal information online. The plaintiffs in the first lawsuit are seeking $475,000 in damages. Other victims are being told to contact the web site's's service provider to file complaints. (Link for TUCOWS - Service Provider)
