At Macworld 2009, a 17-inch MacBook Pro was announced... super-thin, but with integrated battery.

The advantage of a sealed battery similar to that of the MacBook Air would be that the enclosure can be very thin and could also be a very high capacity battery.
In real life, however, this means that, once your battery turns out to be defective (this is a 1st-gen product, therefore "when" and not "if", if my former experience at a Mac reseller is any indication), you'll have to turn over the entire machine for warranty rather than the battery unit itself. I fail to see this as a feature.

Great  news.  Macs are awesome.  I am considering swithcing from a Dell PC to a Mac.  Just hard to take the leap.

Now that would be a good lab top, I think. However way to expensive.
