Ontario MPP Peter Kormos is up in arms over a new, inferior Ontario flag being made in China, whilst so many of our businesses are suffering.

"I would have this flag thrown back at me, thrown in my face.  It would be an insult for me to give this flag to any community group.  This is shameful, embarrassing, pathetic, rude, insulting."

Flying Colours International, a family-owned Toronto company in business for 99 years, supplied the Legislature with the flags for 12 years. But the company lost the bid for a three-year contract in December 2007, said Edward McLean, of at Flying Colours, which employs 70 to 100 people.

This follows news last week that the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. bought 22 Mercedes-Benzes as prizes.

What's your take on it?  Don't you think our government should be supporting Canadian businesses?  And shouldn't we be following suit?

Yes they should be supporting the Canadian companies, this is really shameful on their part.
