Merry Christmas from Telus Canada with higher invoices
Times are difficult, not only in the US but also here in Canada.
For Telus it seems to be the "right" time to bring their customers a pretty bad perk with higher invoicing on the December bill. "We were making adjustments over the last few month" stated the very unfriendly customer service (pretty usual for all our experiences with Telus) to us on the phone (just before she basically hang up on me).
Our bill was almost 30% higher just because Telus changed their billing dates. As usually, the consumers just have to take it the way it is, while Telus is working on our credit. We basically paid some charges in advance for January which means that we now give credit to Telus.
Thank you Telus for this "great and so fair" Christmas gift! When times are hard enough, those 30% can make a big difference just before Christmas to many people. But most important is - at least for Telus - that the books are looking good at the years end and one more time the consumer is paying for it.
Is this fair? I don't think so! It sure would be nice if us consumers would have a few more Rights when it comes to those big companies.
To me, in my opinion, a big part of this recession is a consumer boycott, why would you like to spend your hard earned money with a company which over and over playing their games to suck more money out of consumers. No matter if it is those hidden fees or higher rates on services which are not really that great. (just a reminder about the SMS price hike)
