Michigan Ceo Slashes Prices to Attract Customers
The chief executive of a six-year-old Michigan company is employing a business tactic he hopes will be more successful than the ones used by the state’s Big Three Automakers: He issued a news release today to let the world know he’s cutting his company’s prices in half.
“Our economy calls for creative marketing,” said Intellx CEO Brian Osterberg. “This price drop would be like if GM decided to sell its Volt electric car for half price, giving customers innovation at an incomparable price.”
There are, however, differences between the products Intellx sells and those sold by the Big Three: While customers of the Big Three Automakers — pardon the crude language — fear getting screwed each time they enter a GM, Chrysler or Ford showroom, Intellx customers look forward to it. You see, the Petoskey, Mich.-based company sells condoms.
