Microsoft to Open Windows Café in Paris

Microsoft is planning on opening a café in Paris to allow its customers to learn about Microsoft's new operating system, Windows 7, while sipping hot coffee.

Microsoft has previously announced that Windows 7 will be released worldwide on October 22nd, 2009, just in time for the holiday shopping season. On the same day, a cafe named "Windows Café" is expected to open in the heart of Paris, where customers can find the latest Windows products while drinking hot beverages and eating snacks. There will also be on-site testings of games on Xbox. However, Windows Café will not be selling any software or game console as it is only a temporary marketing scheme for the release of Windows 7.

Microsoft confirme mais reste extrêmement discret sur le sujet. L'éditeur concède que l'opération sera temporaire. Dans ce lieu convivial dédié aux produits Microsoft, il ne sera pas possible d'acheter de logiciels ni la console de jeux maison. Il s'agit seulement d'une opération marketing.
