Microsoft's Photosynth is a really interesting technology and a good find from Steve over at Firestorm. Watch the attached videos... your jaw will drop. Microsoft's Live Lab is putting out some cool stuff these days!
A revolution in the way people can share their experiences has been birthed. The University of Washington and Microsoft Research, through a joint research effort into Photo Tourism, have developed Photosynth - an on-line experience zone for the public to create and share their images in an exciting and amazing 3D realistic experience.

There was a bit of a bug and the other video got removed. This video is very impressive too.
