SEATTLE (Reuters) - Microsoft Corp gauged Facebook's interest in a possible acquisition after the software giant's failed takeover attempt of Yahoo Inc, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.The newspaper reported on its Web site that Microsoft's bankers put out subtle signals to Facebook, the social networking Web site, to see if it would be open to a full acquisition.

René, I like this story. It's good stuff.
Wow René, I am not part of facebook. It's interesting to know that the stocks bought by Microsoft, would place facebook of interest to Microsoft, not only for income - but also for a potential buy out in the future.

don't think facebook will sell itself soon, hotshots from google are signing up for facebook jobs constantly, i think google vp for communications was the last one to switch, I don't think zuckerberg got them on promise of selling to msft.
