Microsoft is developing a motion-based controller similar to the Nintendo Wii remote control according to multiple sources inside the video game industry.

MTV news originally broke the story citing a source that claimed to have been briefed on Microsoft's internal Xbox 360 remote project.

According to the report, Microsoft has been working on the Wii-like remote since last summer, in conjunction with Rare studios who created the Perfect Dark, Golden Eye and Banjo Kazooie games.
