It's been a big week for fans of Minecraft who call the Xbox 360 their home. On top of the news that the already record-breaking video game has surpassed 4 million purchases, 4J Studios, the company responsible for porting the game from the PC, has announced another update for the wholly unique IP.

Among the long awaited items we'll be seeing in this update are randomly generated structures (hello, strongholds and villages!) and an expanded gallery of mobs, the game's name for it's menagerie of things that want to kill the player, and a vastly expanded building list including more stuff to with both bricks and stones.

Perhaps the most personally exciting addition for this writer is fence gates, a seemingly simple but extremely important feature that saves the player from having to build doors at the entrances to fields and pastures (which just looks silly).

Examiner.com has posted the full list here.
