The old Mini was a great car. It was small, simple and something that could put a smile on your face. And, till some time ago, it was British as well.

But time is running and things are changing. Now Mini isn't really British and it's not a small car either.

Despite car was getting bigger and duller through the year but I still rather liked it. It's something you can have despite you don't even really like cars. It's a safe bet. And that's because everyone liked the old car a lot.

But while people had one car for whole household back in the days it doesn't really work in modern life. So, looks like Mini doesn't even fit in now.

So, to fulfil Britons love for Mini and to fit it in in modern life, the car was growing bigger. And it still was loved and bought.

And, as always, there's a line you can't cross any more. So, the Clubman was introduced to the family. And, if to be honest, it was ugly and stupid thing to have.

Who would like to own a car that's not even a proper hatchback. Who would buy just a Mini with a bit more leg room for passengers at the back and visibility in your rear view mirror equal to nought?

The answer is – now-one. But, you will say, I saw one.

Yes, they been bought by, if to be honest, people who thought it's an amazing car.

So, engineers in the factory may have made a mistake. And they been working on it. And all they could come up with was the Countryman.

A four door Mini? It's not right, is it.

The Countryman isn't the best looking car. But if you would look through whole BMW range you would probably spot few similarities to other cars. But it shouldn't be like that.

Mini has to be unique as the Countryman itself. But it's not.

So far it's boring to look at but maybe there's more to that. Actually, I have bad news.

There won't be any exciting engines or any fun or new stuff you could enjoy. Just a four door car that shouldn't even have two spare doors.

So what's the point of even bothering and making one? Is it for people who care about their lives even less than their mums? Or is it Mini's attempt to build something striking.

Well, they did the striking part for sure. But the money spend for creating it could be splashed on some better things. Like new engines. Or, some flamboyance.

But Mini doesn't do any flamboyance. Or any exciting stuff.

That's why Mini Countryman – you are fired.
