A Movement Formed by Lawyer for Resisting Foreclosure
Lawyers acting on behalf of the house owners are now demanding that the lenders produce all their documents prior to pushing ahead with foreclosures.
In a heritage mansion dating back to the 19th century located in the centre of Shelby, formerly a town of textile mills, a local attorney, and scion of politics has formed a movement for resisting foreclosures. O.Max Gardner III is in his mid sixties. He had been the first one to initiate techniques to prevent mega financial entities from foreclosing on delinquent loans. He has been instructing since the last four years, 559 other attorneys about the methods he adopts.
He gives instructions in a kind of jujitsu – how to take advantage of the mega size of the opponent and it disorganization for the benefit of the borrowers who are reluctant to surrender their houses. After completing his programme the lawyers keep in touch with him through e-mails. They are given access to his online archives for sharing of information. They keep on working jointly to find out new methods to put brakes on foreclosures. Strategies are shared on issues pertaining to bankruptcy. About 350 messages per day are exchanged.

Powerful resistance movements are sine qua non for a democratic society.Unfortunately, rise of the neo-cons has successfully weakened such movements, especially labour movements. Thus rendered democratic funtioning ineffective. The lobbying firms, corrupt bureaucrats and shameless political class takes it for granted that people are sheeples and each one at the top rung can go unscathed for all misdeeds. The lenders always perpetuate fraud and borrower is left with no choice but to suffer.Fudged documents can ruin a borrower. So far no effective mechanism has been put in place to check frauds committed by lenders.
