A time exposure of the southwest side of Mt. Rainier. I was trying to capture Perseid meteors, but got only one faint one (see note). Thanks, dshearer, for spotting that -- I missed it. I saw this meteor when it flashed and was sure it would be in the frame, but I should have stopped the exposure right away so the sky would be darker. The meteor would have shown up better then.
