NBA Jam 2010 Trailer Video: Basketball Video Game Revived By EA
The NBA Jam 2010 Trailer Video Has Been Released and It's On Fire
"Boom Shak-a-Laka!" "He's heating up!" "He's on Fire!" These are phrases burned into the brains of 90s video game fans thanks to the classic NBA Jam, a game that made players like Shawn Kemp and Scottie Pippen look unstoppable and may be the highlight of Mike Iuzzolino's career.
Now the video game franchise is coming back with NBA Jam 2010, which is being developed for the Nintendo Wii.
The NBA Jam 2010 Trailer
The NBA Jam 2010 trailer is out and it looks pretty good. The game features all the goofy high-flying action we'd expect from NBA Jam but updated for the 21st century. The game isn't too updated though.
Instead of super-detailed graphics, NBA Jam producers superimposed photographs of NBA players onto computer animated bodies. It's a far cry from EA's other franchise, NBA Live, which brings in NBA players to study their every movement.
NBA Jam 2010 seems to feature all the old school moves fans are used to. Players will get "on fire" with the ball literally being set ablaze. Players will also be able to pull insane dunks and alley-oops that we've come to expect from NBA Jam.
The NBA Jam trailer also features quotes from NBA players who talk about how they've dreamed about being part of the NBA franchise.
NBA Jam is being produced by EA Sports studio in Vancouver and is set to be released in December. From the looks of it, EA producers are on the right track, re-imagining a classic video game franchise in a way that will please old fans and attract new ones.
