Location updates via Google Latitude isn't the only way your friends can stalk you... you can also facilitate the process yourself via a new Gmail feature which appends your location (based on IP address) to the sig in your email.

So, no more working from home, when "working from home" means "cheeky weekend in Vegas".

Dang. Maybe it's better to just not enable this feature.

Gmail Labs announced in a blog posting Tuesday that Gmail users can now append their e-mail signature to include their current city and country location. If you are overly officious, or travel frequently and enjoy "place dropping" to your friends and colleagues that you are in Dubai, Dublin, or, um, Duluth, this feature will appeal to you.
However, Google software engineer Marco Bonechi acknowledges that because the feature keys in on your IP address, it may not accurately report your location.

Pass. the only reason my actual location would be pertinent to an emai would be if I'm getting in touch with Lambert. Otherwise, all you really need to know is that I'm replying.
