Nissan Recall Targets Faulty Fuel Gauges and Brake Pedals

A just-announced Nissan Recall targets faulty brake pedal pins and fuel gauges. The Nissan recalls affect 540,000 vehicles. So far, no accidents have been reported for these faults, but Nissan ordered the recall based on customer complaints.

Nissan recalled models for brake pedal pins:

  • Titan pickup
  • Armada SUV
  • INfiniti QX56 SUV
  • Quest minivan

Nissan Recalls for fuel gauges:

  • Titan pickup (2005-2008)
  • Armada SUV (2005-2008)
  • Infiniti QX56 SUV (2005-2008)
  • Frontier SUV (Jan-Mar 2006; Oct 2007-Jan 2008)
  • Pathfinder SUV(Jan-Mar 2006; Oct 2007-Jan 2008)
  • Xterra SUV(Jan-Mar 2006; Oct 2007-Jan 2008)

If you own one of the affected models, contact your Nissan dealer for repair details.

While most of the vehicles affected are in the US, some drivers in Japan, east Asia, Russia, Latin America and the Middle East will be affected. Nissan said UK drivers should not be affected by the recall.
