Nokia Trademarks Xseries and Cseries Names for Future Devices

The world's biggest mobile phone manufacturer, Nokia, has recently filed applications for trademarks "Cseries" and "Xseries". The trademarks were filed in mid-April in Finland and Switzerland. They were filed in the smart phone category.

Nokia has not announced what these series will include, but they have been rumored to announce a new set of Internet tablets in the near future. The company has also been rumored to release new phones with the Maemo platform.

Nokia's annual Nokia World event might reveal the new devices. The event is being held in Stuttgart, Germany on 2/3 September 2009.
