Not all spiders are ugly - Porsche reveals its new Boxter

Let's talk about spiders. Just don't run away. Porsche just released the first information about it's newest model – the Boxter Spider. And it seems to be the finest looking Boxter so far.

Over 60 years' experience in sportcars building gave Porsche a chance to build something rather amazing. The Spider will be powered by 3.4liter poverboosted flat six engine from Boxter. With direct fuel injection it develops 320bhp – 10bhp more than Boxter S. From 0 km/h to 100km/h in just 5.1s with a top speed of 267km/h with roof down – not a rocket but a thrill to drive.

Saving weight in Spider was as important as making it safe and sporty. It is 80kg lighter than the original Boxter. New design 19” wheels, stripped air conditioning and radio also as a non-electric roof – it's the lightest Porsche on the market.

Designed to look like Carrera GT Spider brings light to whole Boxter range. With a £44,643 price tag it stands along with Audi TT RS Roadster and is £5000 cheaper than SLK 55 AMG.
