Last Thursday I drove from Minneapolis down to West Union, IA to a sale. It was absolutely a golden afternoon. The fields of soybeans, corn, and alfalfa were so peaceful in the late summer sun, it made the farm kid in me just joyful to see it. The terraced rolling hills, the plentiful crops and the staging in front of the pretty goldenrod just made me want to keep the moment to remember, so of course, I got out my camera.

This is an example of the great job being done in Iowa to produce ample amounts of food while caring for the land and environment.
