The Dow jumped 144.8 points, or 1.5 percent, to 10,015.86 at 4:08 p.m. in New York. The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index increased 1.8 percent to a one-year high of 1,092.02, with financial and technology shares leading gains. The MSCI World Index of 23 developed countries added 1.8 percent.
This is a good plateau but
it does not mean that the
recession is over or that
the stock market will not
turn down again. We will
just have to wait and see
if the recovery continues.

I just got back from a wine and cheese gathering at the Halifax Club with a guest speaker from Toronto who only handles portfolios of $100,000+.
He plays pretty conservative and liquidates into cash at the first sign of a downturn.
He says now they are fully invested! According to his formula, the market will start entering the bull market in a little while.

I need to go to that kind of party.
The market will probably continue go go up slowly the rest of this year.
