So, whilst I was at work my credit card company, Barclay Card left me a message on my mobile phone to call back the fraud prevention team. Uh oh I thought.
So I called them up and after about 5 mins of answering security questions they told me that my credit card had some suspicious activity.

£10 donation to Christian Aid
£10 to Google Checkout.

The transactions all happened within 10 mins of each other whilst I was at work, in fact the last one to google checkout only happened 10 mins before Barclays Called me up. Alas i'm quite glad that their fraud prevention team are rather 'on the ball' and spotted this real quick. Alas, someone had got hold of my card details somehow and just started a spending spree on the internet. I have no idea how they did this. I'm rather tech and security savvy when it comes to giving my card details on the Internet and the only places I used my credit card online were with big named stores like Amazon, etc. But last week I did throw out a bunch of old credit card statements which I forgot to shred because I was being lazy and I was in a rush. Alas, my credit card statements contain my credit card number! Oh dear. Someone has been going through my trash cans.

But yeah, Barclays are investigating and i'm covered with their fraud protection stuffs, so i'm not worried. But it was an experience!

Oh, I had to cut up my card too.
