How's Judging Going?
Local Ontario students performed well at the Canada Wide Science Fair.  The local Bluewater Regional Science and Technology team returned home with over $26,000 in cash and scholarships.
Sacred Heart high school grade nine student Megan Schlorff won two golds for her project on the Saugeen River Watershed.
Grade seven student Jenna Schlorff of Holy Family in Hanover won a silver for her project which compares LED vehicle brake lights to incandescent tail lights.
Laurissa Christie of St. Mary's high school in Owen Sound won bronze for her project that explores the disappearance of honey bees.
Clarissa Fortin of St. Joseph's in Port Elgin took bronze for her project relating heavy metals in lipstick to cancer.
Ben Underwood, a grade 8 student at Turnberry Central Public School captured two awards. He won a bronze medal in the Environmental Innovation Division for his project "Green Eggs and Beef". He also won the Canadian Agriculture and Agri-Foods Award.
