The process of a home going through a foreclosure can take from six months to a year, depending on the bank. This gives you plenty of time to save your home and get your life back on track.
A bank will not go through a quick foreclosure process if you keep them updated on what is going on. If you have missed numerous payments and are avoiding their phone calls, it will be assumed you do not care about the payments and you have no intentions on making the payments. Keeping your home requires you to be responsible and in touch with the bank. Talk to them and they will not start the bank foreclosure process for at least three to four months of missed payments.
