"People are everything when it comes to winning" - Jack Welch
Today at my company was a very bad day. Management laid of about 70% of the staff (about 100 people).
I was one of the survivors. For now.
The irony of this image killed me, though.
As the day was dragging on, and the pain was getting more palpable, I was headed to one of our conference rooms, just to stare out the window, and I saw the sign shown in the piece. Juxtapose that sign with the stark emptiness of the chairs and the open door, and you can probably get the irony.
If winning is important, and people are important to winning, then laying off a ton of folks means winning isn't that important.
