Nintendo Project Cafe: Wii Successor in the Works

Nintendo is going to launch a new system to replace the Wii in 2012. According to the gaming giant, the as-yet-unnamed system, referred to as "Project Cafe", will debut at the E3 Expo in June 2011, and will hit shelves in 2012. Images referencing Cafe have appeared on Wario World,  a Nintendo developer support site.

The first console to feature motion controllers, the Wii enjoys worldwide popularity, especially among younger gamers. Recently, though, Microsoft has hit back with Xbox Kinect, and Sony has introduced the Playstation Move controller.

The 2011 E3 Expo runs June 7-9 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Can't wait for this. I loved the Wii when it first came out.
