Projects have always existed, only the ways of taking it and working on it have changed. As there have been advances in the technologies, there has been standardization of activities. Any activity needs a start, a plan and an execution. But the changing needs demand a need to be defining the outline of each activity.

It was this need which gave birth to the concept called PMP course. This involved defining of each process in such a way that it could give the best possible result of the inputs. It ensured that the wastage which took place due to the absence of the outlines and specifications would be minimized.

Once project management began to get acceptance in the industries, it became much essential to have people who could have the knowledge of how to use this tool in an efficient way. Knowledge half gained is always harmful and so there came the existence of the PMP certification and PMP training.

It all began in the 20th century that industries felt need of professionals with the expertise PMP certification in all most all the fields. They started to look forward to development of a code and minimum education in people to make sure they are hiring best people. Soon, people who had undergone the PMP course, PMP training were acknowledged and welcomed by the companies. This led to establishment of PMP course as an accredited course.

It soon got acceptable globally which enhanced the importance to a greater extent. The professionals with the PMP certification began to find better opportunities waiting for them and this all was because it became a stated fact that those who have undergone the PMP training are better result producers than others. PMP course is much more result oriented and knows how to use the resources in best possible way.

There was a commitment which was shown by this new avenue. Companies found that the PMP training changed how the professionals looked towards work. They were more involved in getting the work accomplished than just trying to finish the job at once and move to another.

The progress in the acceptance of PMP certification opened doors to new developments which supported the company for better results.

But the road was not always smooth as it appears to be. As the trends changed, companies started hiring people who had pursued the PMP course, which was then not very popular amongst the professionals. The ones who had not changed and not taken PMP certification themselves according to the changing markets had to face problems.

Since in the beginning, there were only few who knew about the PMP certification, companies tried to hire them and add an advantage to their organization. Those who could not hire them overburdened their staff and forced them to better results in what so ever way they could.

With the growing demand, few companies who could understand that they had a workforce who had skills but just had to polish them, they started encouraging their present staff to go and undergo the training. But even today, the demand stands ahead of the availability which could be a good sign for those who are ready to go for this certification.
