The Hybrid Assistive Limb (HAL), created by Japan's Cyberdyne (no relation to the Terminator films) got a public outing in Tokyo today. The robotic powered suit is designed for use in emergency zones, as well as for assisting the injured and elderly in daily movement.
As can be seen, the "Hybrid Assistive Limb" (HAL) suit from Japanese firm Cyberdyne was deployed using only the leg sections, though the company is also working on full-body models.
It's not a true robot: more like an anthropomorphic miniature forklift. Which is also cool.
Meanwhile, if you're not down with Aliens-style dock loaders, then perhaps you're okay with a robot making you a nice bowl of noodles.
The robots perform all of the cooking tasks needed to make eighty bowls per day, serving the customers who come to their small shop.
