Samsung Electronics launches USB external hard disk drives

Samsung Electronics America, a provider of digital consumer electronics and IT, has launched three new lines of consumer external hard disk drives, including two new portable drives and a new desktop drive. The company said that three new drives feature SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interfaces, which provide data transfer rates of up to 5GB per second.
