Will we be seeing our fair elm-lined streets on Cops on tv?  The press release from the police service dated June 26th states:

Quote

The Saskatoon Police Service will be testing in-car cameras over the next six months. The cameras, from various suppliers, have been installed in four police cars for testing before one product is chosen. It will then be installed all 70 police vehicles in the Saskatoon Police Service fleet. The cameras, which capture audio and video, are designed to document real time evidence in both traffic and criminal offences. They will also provide documentation in the event of complaints against Police. The media is invited to view the cameras on Monday, June 29th, 10:00 a.m., in the SPS north parking lot.

Not that this is likely to significantly improve police behaviour, but it might provide for some interesting news footage on the evening news!
