Sexism 'spurs women to success'
Whilst well believing that some women will try harder to put one over a sexixt boss some real sexist bosses might see this as justification to carry on in their sexist way thinking this is how to get the best from the gemale workforce. Will this report see some male bosses returning to the wall full of pinups, Pirreli calendars?
Female students scored higher in tests they believed were going to be marked by sexist examiners, the research found.
Scientists believe that blatant sexism could act as a spur to drive some women to achieve as they want to prove chauvanistic attitudes are wrong.
As part of the experiment researchers at the University of California asked 170 female undergraduates to take a written exam.
Before the test, the students were told to go wait in one of three empty offices which they believed belonged to their male examiner.
The fake offices were decorated to suggest the views that the teacher had of women.
One contained overtly sexist posters of women, another a breast-cancer awareness poster, while a third had objects considered neutral, such as a stack of papers.

For every women it spurs, though, I wonder how many it discourages.
