The US Shuttle Discovery is set to be launched on its latest mission at 1:36 am on August 25 at the Kennedy Space Station in Florida with 7 crew members.

Shuttle Discovery will deliver a freezer and a furnace to the International Space Station during the course of a 13-day flight. The freezer aboard Shuttle Discovery is going to be used to store biological samples, while the furnace will be used for baking materials.

Shuttle Discovery will carry many tons of cargo on its voyage; however, the freezer and the furnace, which have been donated by Europe, represent some of the most important European contributions to the space station. A European will also conduct 2 of the 3 spacewalks during the Shuttle Discovery's mission.
