Oshawa is getting pumelled by the fall of the automotive industry in the US and Canada.
In the third week of September, 480,400 people across the country were getting regular EI benefits, Statistics Canada reported Tuesday. That total was up 3.9 per cent from a year earlier.Among provinces, Ontario showed the biggest jump with 14 per cent.
Among cities, Oshawa, home of General Motors of Canada, showed the biggest by far — 96.4 per cent.
Windsor, home of Chrysler Canada, showed the second biggest — 30.4 per cent.

Some dealers have dropped their prices by $10,000 or more too. Nobody knows what's going to happen ...

I know some people that are really struggling with this, since they where laid of by Ford in Ontario, and tried to find employment with Toyota in Kitchener, Ontario, however Toyota does not Higher ex-Ford or GM worker and especially not those that are unionized. Those that do already work in the new Toyota plants in Ontario, d not want the Union in there either for they fear it would only force Toyota to go down like GM and FORd or Chrysler did.

The warm feeling I get when someone is thoughtful enough to say thank you for having been helped far outweighs the empty one I get when there's no feedback at all.____________________suzuki grand vitara
