All 3 telcos (Singtel, Starhub, M1) have announced that they will sell the iPhone 5 beginning Friday, September 21. Alongside, they have also announced their new 4G LTE plans.

SingTel, M1, Starhub release iPhone 5 plans, prices

Singtel and M1 have announced the details of their price plans for the iPhone 5, and the pricing is as follows. The price comparison between M1 and Singtel is shown below and it looks like M1 is aggressive. The basic model iPhone 5 16GB is great value from M1 with the Value+ plan a significant 48 dollars cheaper than Singtel. For the prices from Starhub, only the iPhone 5 16GB is competitive. The rest of the prices are ridiculously more expensive than the others.

Singtel is the first telco in Singapore to officially put up an iPhone 5 page. Although no related information is up, but we’ll keep checking and update this page once Singtel updates the price of the iPhone 5 as well as the price plans. However we are pretty sure that Singtel’s iPhone 5 price would be the same if not similar to the price when iPhone 4 was launched.

Singtel’s price of a 16GB iPhone 5 with the cheapest monthly subscription could be about S$450. But we’ll keep you posted once its confirmed

Singtel has confirmed the iPhone 5 release date to be September 21. We strongly believe M1 and Starhub will launch the iPhone 5 on the same day as well.

Singapore operators M1, SingTel and StarHub have announced their iPhone 5 prices when bought with a price plan. Below is a summary of the handset prices and their corresponding post-paid monthly price plans in brackets (prices have been rounded up to the nearest dollar).


Singapore 20 September 2012 – Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) today announced it will offer iPhone 5 to customers in Singapore beginning Friday, September 21.

A record 68,000 customers registered their interest over six days to purchase iPhone 5 from SingTel. There was an overwhelming response to SingTel’s appointment booking website, and 10,000 appointment slots to purchase iPhone 5 at our launch event were snapped-up within one and a half hours.

SingTel has organised a special three-day launch event for iPhone 5 starting on Friday September 21, 8am at Marina Bay Sands, Exhibition Hall D, basement 2.

“SingTel is thrilled to bring the highly anticipated iPhone 5 and its new capabilities to Singapore,” said Mr Yuen Kuan Moon, CEO Consumer Singapore, SingTel. “With our high speed 4G network and plans that offer compelling value and flexibility, our customers will be able to make the most of the superb features of iPhone 5.”
